Futures FX
Major currencies and currency pairs commonly have a one point spread, the benefits being increased transparency and liquidity. You can view full market depth and trade history whilst trading on a regulated exchange. Contact MF Global to find out why trading currency futures is the best way to gain exposure to global FX markets.
Indexes
Futures indices are attractive for people looking to gain exposure to a market without having to analyse individual securities. Essentially, futures indices give you exposure to a parcel of stocks (that make up an index) in one margined product. The SPI for example is derived from the ASX200 which is made up of the top 200 listed companies on the ASX. MF Global can also provide access for clients wishing to trade the Hang Seng, Nikkei, FTSE, DAX, Dow Jones and S&P500 along with many others.
Commodities
The futures markets began on the back of commodities and this continues today with active markets in lumber, feeder cattle, live cattle, orange juice, pork bellies, wool, coffee, sugar, cocoa, crude oil, natural gas, soybeans, corn, copper, oats and the list goes on. Contact MF Global if you would like a full list of all commodity contracts.
Interest Rates
Interest rate bank bill futures allow hedging of short-term interest rates for a period of 3 months and bond futures allow to hedge long-term rates for periods of 3 or 5 years. Interest rate futures are traded on the SFE and trade in fixed face value amounts and fixed dates. Contact MF Global for more detailed information on interest rate products.
